  • anyone?

  • Hi Wesinls,

As also stated in another thread this is logged in a failure report.

I tracked the failure report and it was unfortunately not fixed for version 7.3.5/7.3.6.

It has now been put to attention and we will prioritise to fix this in the next version of DCO.

Unfortunately there is no work around at present.

  • The SUN BLADE 6000 Chassis start and Slot 1 in the application, however, Sun starts their naming convention with 0. How can this be fixed in ISXO?

  • The fix has been made and is going out in the next version of StruxureWare Data Center Operation. There has been added a property on the blade chassis physical property page to make indexing start from zero.

On existing solutions (in the Data Center model and custom genomes) this update must be done manually either from the property page of each device or using the equipment browser for bulk changing.

In the Genome Library Sun and Oracle blade chassis will have this set by default.

Thanks for letting us know of this missing functionality once again.

  • Who can I e-mail / contact to stay on-top of this fix?  3 years to fix something this simple seems a bit long too me...A DCIM tool that can't properly track a blade location? Really?

  • So it's been 4 years and this still isn't resolved.  Any update?

  • Hi - I would ask over at dcimsupport.apc.com - StruxureWare/Data Center Operations team started their own support community and can provide you up to date feedback on the status.

  • Hi Wyatt,

The issue has been resolved with v7.4 of DCO. (http://dcimsupport.apc.com/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=82640990   "Blade enclosure slot numbering" in the Fixed issues section )

As Angela states the support for StruxureWare for Data center products have moved.
