    Hi,

Use lower case apc for user name in either hyper-terminal or telnet (won't work via the web)

use the following for password (any letters are capitalized) 1294;8^I9;;D

You will then have to log in again but use lower case apc for both user name and password

    Hi -

Pulled an old AP9211 unit out of a rack and hoping to re-purpose, unable to access the serial / network with default user / password.

Can I have the backdoor password for the following?

    Chassis

    P/N - AP9211

    S/N - JA0224013441

    Network Card

    P/N - AP9606

    S/N - JA0216002545

    Hi Bill,

The password you provided doesn't seem to be working, I've tried serial and telnet with the username - apc (all lowercase)

Based on previous posts, it looks like the password needs to be generated from the AP9606 card. Can you double-check that the password was generated from S/N - JA0216002545 ?

    Thanks

    David

    Hi Bill

thank you for your reply. The model number of the affected UPS is Smart-UPS 3000 RM. IIRC I changed the password for the apc user some weeks ago but something went wrong, now I only have access with the device user.

    Model:      Smart-UPS 3000 RM
    Firmware Revision:      666.6.I
    Manufacture Date:      07/01/05
    Serial Number:      JS0528036716

    Hi,

The UPS itself does not have a password. If the UPS has an install NMC the reset password instruction are available in Schneider Electric FAQ FA156075

I have consoled in through the serial port, but it appears that password is not working. I have copied and pasted the password in just to make sure its correct, but still no go. Using lower case apc for the user as well. Thanks

    Hi,

Sorry for the inconvenience but that is what the system generates for that serial number. Please verify the serial number and verify the exact model. If the unit is not AP9211 the process may be different.
