We have several APC PDU's racked (model AP8659EU3) and a non APC UPS powering our server room. What I was wondering was, do these PDU's have some sort of CLI to them or some sort of signal I can send to them to get them to power off (so the sockets and then back on again.

Basically I want to be able to switch off the power sockets in the event of a power cut, then when the power comes back on I want the system to power the sockets back on.

Ideally I would like to do this in Powershell, but if a batch file is the only way to get this to do what I want then I will make it work.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi James,

Our PDU's have a special scripting interface you can use  - info on how to access it, and what the command syntax is can be found here: http://www.apc.com/us/en/faqs/FA156163/
