After Fimware UPG only ping

  • Hi, i've a customer with 

    APC Smart-UPS RT 15 kVA, RM, 230 V

    SURT15KRMXLI
     
    Yesterday evening after firmware upgrade (file apc_hw05_aos682_ats4g682_bootmon109) the card responds only for ping (no web access no ftp etc.).
    I've talked about this with local IT Manager and he has ejected and reinserted the card after 30 sec but the problem is still there.
    I've checked other discussions and many report connection by com for checking environment, but what can i check?

  • Hi Francesco,

    From what you've written they have installed ATS firmware on a UPS, that obviously won't work...

    This should help:

    First you need to log into the device via SSH or Serial and enable FTP using this command:

    ftp -S enable

    reboot

    yes

     

    Next you need to download the following files:

    https://schneider-electric.box.com/s/2pwkj0c41rs2byumkyafpezkvjx1ya63

     

    Connect to the NMC using FTP, I recommend the WinSCP client,

    Upload "apc_hw05_bootmon_109.bin" to the root,

    The NMC will reboot,

    Reconnect via FTP,

    Upload "apc_hw05_aos_696.bin" to the root,

    The NMC will reboot,

    Reconnect via FTP,

    Upload "apc_hw05_sumx_696.bin" to the root,

    The NMC will reboot for the final time

     

    After that is completed you might need to log back in via SSH and enter these commands to enable HTTPS:

    web -s enable

    reboot

    Yes
