I accidentally entered the wrong date after first time turning on my SMT1000RMI2UC. How do I fix this? I tried resetting to factory defaults but it doesn't allow me to change the installation date.
The date that the UPS prompts for at first start is the Battery Install Date. SmartConnect enabled Smart-UPS no longer support changing the Battery Install Date using the LCD display, but there is a workaround. If you disconnect the internal battery long enough for the UPS to display the battery disconnected alert, when you reconnect the battery the UPS will prompt to choose whether this is a new battery or not. Choosing yes will enable setting the Battery Install Date again.
