    Scenerio:

Power is off in server room. UPS battery goes to zero, and UPS goes off.

Powers is back in server room.

    Question:

how to configure my UPS with MGM Card to power on Outlet Group with delay, no immediatly. Is that possible? I have no option Minimum Battery Capacity.

    Hi,

You can configure the outlet groups with a power off delay, reboot duration, power on delay, minimum return run-time.

Note: minimum battery capacity has been replace with minimum return run-time.

Below are screenshots of AP9631 with firmware 5.1.7 installed in a SMX1500. To configure the outlets I selected UPS tab, then under Configuration I selected outlet groups. When I click on a outlet group I can configure that specific group. Screenshot 2 is the specific outlet group configuration page.

If your NMC has version 6.x firmware then you go to Configuration - Outlet Group Settings

    hello, Bill,

i had a similar issues configuring the turn on delay on my smart-ups x 3000.

i have version 6.5.0, and my setting looks similar to yours.

but for some reason after my UPS gets shutdown and the power is restore, it does follow the delay on the outlet groups. all turn on as soon as they get utility power.

    Hi,

What is the load on the UPS when the shutdown is started? The UPS reads the load to calculate when to restore AC. If the load is low it may not calculate properly and AC will be not be restored when expected. You can resolve this by adding additional time to the power on delay.

right now, since i am testing this ups i only have an  small fan and a desk lamp on two of the power outlets, but i want to use this ups to connect three different servers that need to turn on at different times.

I also have a desktop computer connected to this ups. how many seconds should  i set on the turn-on delay. right now, i have set them to have 1,2 and 3 minutes delay. i need to have a deference of about 60 seconds between  each outlet group. now, the turn on delay works, but the UPS does not restart by itself when the power is restored. i have to turn it on manually.

also, for some reason  the turn-off delay  on outlet group 1, always reset to 120 seconds.

You should verify that stay off after power returns has not been selected in the NMC outlet group configuration settings. Also, verify that restart when power is restored is selected in the NMC shutdown configuration settings.

That is because PCNS has been configured for that outlet group and the default delay for PCNS is 120 seconds.
