I have a win 8.1 computer with Power Chute Personnel edition 3.1 installed. I have a BE 550 G connected to the computer that is showing up in device manager like it should, but for the first time since I've had the unit I'am not able to access the software I've uninstalled the software then reinstalled it with the same result. As far as I know the ups is working fine it has a resent new battery .What could cause this to all of a sudden to happen.
Sorry for the inconvenience. The software may fail due to a change in the system registry. When you review the services running on the system do you see APC Data Service and APC UPS Service running?
Both are set to run automatically I would think that they are both running in this mode .
I just went back into services and tried to start both of them and got error messages. for Date error code 1068, and for ups error code 1053. I tried to start them a couple of times each , but got the same error codes.
When you first install PCPE 3.1 did you run the installer as an upgrade or did you uninstall 3.0.2 and then install 3.1?
Also, if you uninstall 3.1 and install 3.0.2 does the software run as expected?
