AP9512TBLK pinout?

  • While cleaning wires out of a rack I was decommissioning I found an old AP9512TBLK temperature probe with the PS/2 style connector. There was no 9320 to go with it, and for as long as I've been here we've used 9631 cards in the UPS for environmental monitoring. I'm interested in using it for a pet project that needs a temperature sensor and was wondering if anyone could help me with the pinout of the connector, and anything else I might need to know to use it.

    Thanks!

  • Necropost, though. Take connector flat side down, pins face . Counting from right-bottom as 1:

    1. Thermal signal
    2. GND (or minus, see note)
    3. Humidity sensor (THBLK has it; TBLK - n.c.)
    4. Voltage+

Note: there LM358N inside. It take either single polar voltage, or dual polar. Working voltage is 3-32V (single polarity), +-1,5 - +-16V. I don't check signal polarity/range.

  • This works really well for us, thank you! krogereschedule

  • The AP9612 does not operate by itself. Another SmartSlot device that can collect data gathered by the AP9612 must be present. AP9618 and AP9619 management cards utilize the same probes as the AP9612, although APC chose to omit the humidity sensor with the bundled probe for some curious reason.
