Have 3 critical alarms present, what is the best course of action?

    Smart-UPS RT 10000 RM XL: UPS_IDEN

Critical Alarm In Bypass: Hardware Fault
In bypass in response to an internal hardware fault.
      Critical Alarm Inverter Fault
    An inverter fault exists.
      Critical Alarm Self-Test Failed
Refused a self-test; UPS is overloaded.

    Hi Michael,

At first glance this does look like an inverter fault, in which case it would be expected that the UPS goes into automatic bypass, and, in certain conditions, reports an overload. Certain inverter events can cause the UPS to report an overload even though the load does not actually exceed the UPS power rating.

Nevertheless, the first check I recommend is to ensure there is no genuine overload, in certain cases problematic load devices can draw more power from the UPS than normally. If there is no real overload, I recommend contacting your local APC tech support to perform more in-depth troubleshooting.
