My 350 is about five years old, I think. I've never replaced the battery, the light has always been green on it during normal function. Recently, every once in a while, I will suddenly get a long, continuous beep...much as it does every time I lose power, since the battery is in need of replacement.
At the times I am asking about, however, the power is still on...so I'm assuming the amount of power in the battery doesn't matter, right? I honestly don't know if it would randomly alert me, especially since the light remains green when this happens. The only things plugged into it are my computer, monitor, and speakers...same things as always, so it shouldn't be overloading. I suffer no interruption in power to my computer when this happens. Just this annoying tone that will go away if I press the button on the battery backup itself off, then on again.
Could you please provide me the exact Model number of the UPS? You can find this detail on a white bar code sticker at the bottom of the unit. Is the Green light flashing when the unit is beeping constantly?
It's a BE350U. I can't say with 100% certainty whether or not it was blinking. I didn't think to look into the issue until today, so I didn't fully observe the light the times it happened...I'm so used to it flashing when the power goes out, that I wouldn't have thought it odd if it was when this happened, and it wouldn't have stood out either way in my mind.
If the Green light is flashing when the unit is making a constant beep, then please follow the below K-base document instructions to fix the issue.
