I purchased a used BR1500G on ebay with no batteries and put in a APCRBC124 that was about 4 months old and when I turn it on it doesn't perform a self test and the battery icon just flashes. I don't think it knows there is a battery plugged in. The battery icon flashes as seen in the attachment and after an hour nothing had changed. When I measured the voltage on the battery pack yesterday, it was either 25 or 28 volts. It also came with some kind of divider with a cable, I guess if my battery pack was not "taped" together I might need that but I'm not using it because the battery pack slides right in. Thanks for any help anyone can provide.

The battery pack should be wired in series and should read around 26 27 volts DC when good.

Here are a few images of the battery pack when connected properly
