    Hello
I have Netbotz Rack Monitor 200 with three Rack Sensor Pods 150 and some AP9335TH, NBES0302, NBES0304 staff connected.
    Everything is working ok.

    Model Number: NBRK0200
    Serial Number: ZA1016000914
    Hardware Revision: 05
    Manufacture Date: 04/13/2010
    MAC Address: 00 C0 B7 C6 8B CB
Management Uptime: 0 Days 0 Hours 22 Minutes

Now I have got a Temp/Humidity Probe with display AP9520TH from another system.
    S/N: WA0343150577
As it is described in manual it is supported by Netbotz Rack Monitor 200.
But it can not be recognized by the Netbotz Rack Monitor 200!

I connected the AP9520TH to another (older) system - Environmental Monitoring Unit (AP9319) - it works fine!
    What is wrong?

    P.S.
I have found on another forum that some Temp/Humidity Probes (AP9520TH) with "older" S/N are not supported by newer Netbotz devices (Netbotz 200, 450, 550 etc.)
Is it possible to upgrade the firware of the Temp/Humidity Probe (AP9520TH) to make the sensor working with the newer devices?
If no - it is really disappointing and unfair. If it is written in the manual that is is supported it have to be supported. There was no information about any "old" or "wrong" S/N or something.

Unfortunately you are correct, the AP9520 sensor you have runs an older firmware and is not compatible with the newer AP9340 & NBRK0201. The sensor is not upgradable either. I agree it was short sighted on APCs part to make this change and keep the same model number, but it is what it is. APC does have a knowledge base article regarding this incompatibility and this is not a new issue by any means.

    Thank you for your answer.
Shame on APC and no respect anyway for this issue! That is not endusers problem. I have checked the compatability list and there is AP9520TH there. But it is not working because there are different AP9520TH models. Why they have not changed the SKU? They should name it for instance AP9521TH or something.
    Stupid situation. Really disappointed.
    Regards

Which S/N are compatible with Netbotz 450/550? I have bought some new AP9520T on ebay, but the system hangs when I am trying to connect them.

in order to be compatible with the AP9340, netbot 200, 450, 455, or 550, the AP9520T/TH sensor needs to have a serial number greater than ZA0636

So, if my S/N is ZA0635999999 it is not compatble, but if S/N is ZA0636000001 it is compatible?

it would have to be ZA0637 or higher to be compatible. The remaining 6 numbers after the serial number are not important in this scenario.

If it is in the correct serial number range it could be something else. Please ensure that you are using an APC alink terminator in the out port of the Ap9520t/th sensor and that the dip switch addressing is correct http://www.apcmedia.com/salestools/ASTE-6Z5QAU_R0_EN.pdf

    Hope this info helps

I've got AP9520 with S/N ZA0605XXXXXX. Is there ANY possibility to make them working together. Maybe it is possible to downgrade the firmware of my Netbotz 450? I paid 500$ + delivery and custom fees for these sensors.

unfortunately with that serial number and if it doesn't show V1.23 when you connect it, there is no way of making it work with your 450. The only devices that sensor is compatible with are the AP9319 or the AP9320.

Is it possible to get my money back from APC? I am deceived by this company.
I've got absolutely new original sensors, but cant make them working. Wasted time and money with that "legendary reliability"

I agree that your scenario is unfortunate, but had you bought this somewhere else other than ebay, you would have most likely gotten a sensor that was compatible. Feel free to call your local tech support number and see what they can do.
